Coast FM Local Hour - Meeting Local People 
Coast FM To Closedown We are sorry to tell you that Coast FM will be closing down our internet service at the end of March 2010. Since August 2007 Coast Community Radio has been providing a wide range of programming via our internet service, with the intention of operating a full time FM Community Radio Licence for the Tendring coastal area. However our hopes were shattered in February 2009 when OFCOM the government regulator refused our application. Despite this set back we decided to continue with our online service, but now after careful consideration we have decided to close at the end of the month. We would like to thank all the local groups and organisations that have supported Coast FM over the past couple of years, and we will update this news item further over the next couple of weeks.
Programme HighlightsThis week on "In The Spotlight" (Saturday 18:00-19:00) Marc Elliott plays music from Simply Red & Slade. In the "Double Decade" Show (Sunday 16:00-17:00) Marc Elliott recalls the music & events from 1959 & 1979. Rock back the Clock is now on weekdays at 17.00 |

Tendring freeview upgrade |

The first of the UPGRADES on the Freeview Digital TV network have now been carried out, on Wednesday 30th September Digital viewers with Freeview needed to do a full retune in order to continue to recieve the full channel line up. Some viewers in the Tendring area are still unable to get the full selection of channels and will have to wait until the full switchover in 2011 for this to be rectified. for more information please click here |
